Christmas in Polynesia

The Polynesian Cultural Center is celebrating Christmas at the Hukilau Marketplace with live music, nativity performances, a train ride to view the Christmas decorations and photos with Santa 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15 and 17-22. Polynesian Cultural Center birthday party

It’s the Polynesian Cultural Center’s 55th anniversary. Until the end of October, Ohana Club members can get $15 admission, $15 Island Buffet Dinner and $15 “Ha” show tickets (must select 2 or more). Movies on the north shore

The Hukilau Marketplace at the Polynesian Cultural Center is screening free outdoor movies each month as part of its Movies on the Lawn series. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket and check out:

Fueled by Fire

Polynesian Cultural Center presents its 26th We Are Samoa Festival, highlighted by the impressive World Fireknife Championships May 10 to May 12. Contestants as young as age 6 compete for titles in both Junior and Senior Divisions.
Preliminary rounds start at 6 p.m. Thursday; finals start at 6 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, finalists perform during the Ha Breath of Life show at 7: 30 pm. and a champion is crowned at the conclusion of the show at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for keiki for the first two nights of competition and $19.95 for kamaaina and $49.95 for visitors for the finale and evening show admission. polynesia.com

Jedi on the North Shore
