College ambition

Let your kids check out a college campus and see what life might look like after high school at The Manoa Experience, an open house university preview day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3. The free event will have tents detailing the many programs and activities available on campus. There will also be tours of the campus and of residence halls.

March of the Penguins

It’s March, so It’s time for penguin day at Sea Life Park. March 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be added attention on all things penguin. A penguin parade, a penguin movie, penguin hats, penguins swimming… it will all have you waddling along as you complete your penguin scavenger hunt. Tooth healthy

The Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center is partnering with Hawaii Dental Service to host HDS Tooth Fairy Fun Day at the center Feb. 25. The first 500 HDS members get in free to the centers exhibits and there will be education info about keeping teeth and gums healthy. Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Head over to the Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center March 2 to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. There will be crafts and a celebration of all things whimsical and Seussical. Or head to Barnes and Noble Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. for a Dr. Seuss storytime and coloring activity.
