Christmas in Polynesia

The Polynesian Cultural Center is celebrating Christmas at the Hukilau Marketplace with live music, nativity performances, a train ride to view the Christmas decorations and photos with Santa 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15 and 17-22. There will be added fun on snow days 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 15 and 21. Visit polynesia.com/christmas.

 

 

North Shore fireworks

There will be an afternoon of family entertainment and fireworks at the Polynesian Cultural Center’s Hukilau Marketplace. From 4 p.m., there will be  bounce houses, slides, bull riding, an obstacle courses, balloon animals and carnival games all for free! There will be live entertainment and Tongan, Mexican, Tahitian and Hawaiian food for sale. All leading up to the 20-minute fireworks show at 9 p.m. hukilaumarketplace.com

Movies on the north shore

The Hukilau Marketplace at the Polynesian Cultural Center is screening free outdoor movies each month as part of its Movies on the Lawn series. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket and check out:

Jedi on the North Shore

May 4 has been known as “Star Wars” Day  (as in May the 4th be with you). The Polynesian Cultural Center’s Hukilau Market Place is getting in on the act with a special outdoor screening of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” The free event starts at 7:30 p.m. May 4 in Laie. www.HukilauMarketplace.com or facebook.com/hukilaumarketplace.
