Stuffed animal sleepover

Find out what your stuffed friend would do in the library overnight without you. Drop off your stuffed animal at the Waikiki-Kapahulu Public Library by Jan. 23. (If you attend storytime at the library at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, you can also make a sleep mask for your stuffed animal. Harry Potter mania

Harry Potter has inspired countless children to tackle thick chapter books. The libraries celebrate the young wizard with several events this week.

On Oct. 22, the Kaneohe Library is hosting a free Potter-themed escape room at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. for kids in grades 2-6. Call 233-5676 to register. Then on Oct. 24, it’s the teens’ turn at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. again for kids in grades 7-10.

Or on Oct. 24, head over to the Kalihi-Palama Library for a free screening of  “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Call 832-3466.

Everyone could use some Sparkle

Honolulu Theatre for Youth presents “Sparkle,” a new play targeted at very young kids. “Sparkle” runs 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 13 and 20.
