Get ready to shop

Have a care package to pack for a kid at college? Want to get an early start on Christmas shopping? The Made in Hawaii Festival returns to Blaisdell Center Aug. 17-19. The event has grown to fill both the exhibition hall and arena with locally produced goods. For Honolulu residents its a good way to tap into some neighbor island treats. The kids don’t mind shopping when it comes with yummy cookie samples every few booths! The festival is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
