Premiere of Moana in Hawaiian

Disney’s “Moana” is making its ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi premiere at Ko Olina’s World Oceans Day on June 10. The movie stars Auliʻi Cravalho as Moana, Christopher Kaipulaumakaniolono Baker as Maui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Kelikokauaikekai Hoe as Ali‘i Tui, Kalehuapuakeʻula Kawaʻa as Puna Tala, Kamakakehau Fernandez as Tamatoa, and 24 locally cast Hawaiian-speaking actors. World Oceans Day focuses on plastic pollution prevention and cleaning the ocean of marine litter. The free celebration begins at 4 p.m. and open to the public. Return of Hōkūle’a

Hōkūleʻa and Hikianalia will be at the Ko Olina Marina for public tours Jan. 22 to 26, Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Jan. 27 and 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Feb. 3, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Crewmembers will be on hand to talk about the Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage, wayfinding and life on the canoe.
