Free keiki breakdance workshop

Kids can learn the fundamentals of breakdancing at a free workshop at the Honoluluu Museum of Art’s Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday Feb. 17. No experience is needed. Kids ages 4-6 try their moves out 10:30-11 while keiki ages 7 and older go at 11:30 to 12. Presto! It’s Family Sunday

The Honolulu Museum of Art is helping you get ready for Halloween at Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday: Hocus Pocus 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 21. Kids can make a unicorn tail and horn, make a Halloween-themed lantern or check out magician Harvey Ouchi in Gallery 30 (show time 10:45-11:45 a.m.). Celebrate surf at the museum

This month all things surf and skate are the focus of Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday: Green Room 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 15 at the Honolulu Museum of Art. (Activities end at 2 p.m.) Kids can make water-inspired prints. A giant Van’s shoe (size 66)  will be painted by an artist on site. Take the free museum to Spalding House where kids can use skateboard wheel shavings to create hanging jellyfish.

Dog days at the museum

Bank of Hawaii continues to sponsor its popular Family Sunday events at the Honolulu Museum of Art. This month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 18, kids can celebrate the Year of the dog as they learn basic calligraphy, learn about their zodiac sign, play mah jong, make a dragon headband or make a dog puppet. The galleries will also be open to families until 4:30 p.m. A quick shuttle ride to Spalding House, lets kids make pinch-pot dogs out of clay.   https://honolulumuseum.org/events/bank_of_hawaii_sunday/16676-good_dog
