Bon dance at Byodo-In

Byodo-In Temple is one of the most picturesque bon dance settings in the state. Head over to Valley of the Temples Memorial Park for the 50th anniversary Obon from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 4. There will be food booths with bento and andagi, taiko drummers and bon dancers, of course. The evening concludes with a floating lantern ceremony. For information, visit www.valley-of-the-temples.com or call (808) 725-2798.
