E-magine yourself bouncing in Pearlridge
There’s one week left to check out the E-magine Fun exhibit at Pearlridge. Theere is a Virtual Reality Roller Coaster, Eyeplay interactive games, a rope maze, Eurobungy, a bungee cord-controlled trampoline, and Snookball, a combo of billiards and soccer. There are also giant floor mazes, checkers and Connect Four and puzzles. Activities start at $4 and run through Aug. 15 in the mall’s Uptown Center Court.
Papakolea party
The 3rd annual Papakolea Paʻina is 9:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at Papakolea Community Park. There will be a concert with Ei Nei, Ho‘okena, Makaha Sons and Weldon Kekauoha, plus Hawaiian food, a keiki zone and more. Tickets are $35 adults; $10 keiki under 12. Bon dance at Byodo-In
Byodo-In Temple is one of the most picturesque bon dance settings in the state. Head over to Valley of the Temples Memorial Park for the 50th anniversary Obon from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 4. There will be food booths with bento and andagi, taiko drummers and bon dancers, of course. The evening concludes with a floating lantern ceremony.
